The Covenant Model
At Catalina Foothills Church we believe Jesus has called ustogether to be a covenant community. This means, by God’s grace as an entire church body, we: exalt the LORD in worship; equip the church for a lifetime of ministry; edify one another in our daily lives; evangelize through words and actions. This 4-E focus is a part of our corporate, family, and individual lives and should take place not just on a *Sunday morning, but throughout the week. We do these things in order to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ: to reach the world with the good news of reconciliation. As a worshiping community we believe Jesus should be exalted individually, at home in our times of family worship, and corporately on Sunday mornings.
Why CFC?
Young people are leaving American churches by the droves. Large parts of the next generation are being lost to the ways of the world. Families are being ravaged and fractured by divorce, materialism, and the erosion of family values. Our current structure at CFC has added to the fracturing of the family by providing a schedule that promotes separate places of worship for each generation, and has made intergenerational and family worship more difficult than it should be. We want to do our part to make Sunday worship, Sunday school, and daily life God honoring, Christ exalting, Biblically sound, and culturally relevant. We believe this new structure will help us in this endeavor.
