Discipleship Groups

At the core of discipleship is the word discipline. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says:
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
Our small groups are set up for intentional spiritual growth in an environment of grace. Each group is a safe place to meet with other men, to study God's Word, give and receive encouragement, and pray for one another.
- Men of Change, Discipleship Essentials, High Quest, Basic Training, and others are all discipleship groups directed at establishing and equipping men in the spiritual disciplines. These groups meet both on and off campus and start when we have a leader and enough men to form the study.
- Cactus Bob is an ongoing large group (20-40 men) Bible study that meets on Friday mornings from 7-8 a.m. in room 403.
- Celebrate Recovery meets Tuesday nights from 6-7:30pm. Men in this study focus on their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. What ever your issue, this group will help you walk through your specific issue until you find the freedom and healing that Jesus offers.
