ABOUT:  After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you turn to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone.  Often friends and family want to help you but don't know how. That's the reason for GriefShare.  Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have had success in rebuilding their lives.  We will walk with you on the long path through grief toward healing and hope for the future.
This semester, in particular, we think it is important to speak into the topic of grieving during COVID-19.  We are all in the same boat but we are not in the same storm.  Our journey through this uncertain time is harder when we are isolated, and our baseline stress is more intense than before.  COVID-19 has added to our loss in ways we could not have anticipated, and we will work through this together.
LOCATION:  GriefShare will meet ONLINE via ZOOM Sept 16 - Dec 16 2020, skipping the week of Thanksgiving.  You will be provided with the necessary link to ZOOM from home before the start of class.
REGISTRATION:  Register HERE on the Griefshare website.
MATERIALS:  You will need to pay for and pick up your workbook at Catalina Foothills Church during office hours M-Th 9-4pm or call 615-8500.  If you are out of town and need to arrange another way to get your workbook, please contact Hannetjie Pieterse.
QUESTIONS:  Please email Hannetjie Pieterse or call/text 520-529-3363

GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend. We understand that there are other losses in life that create feelings of grief. You might be experiencing a job loss, a divorce, estrangement from a child, or the loss of friends because of a move. This grief is real, but it is not the kind of grief discussed in GriefShare sessions. We encourage you to ask a pastor, counselor, or church leader for help in finding resources that will be of specific help in your situation. If you are going through separation or divorce, please consider participating in a DivorceCare program.
